कवाँर का सूना

उतरता पखवाड़ा

धूप समेट

जाने को आतुर सूरज

सनई के मुरझाए से फूल

आम के पत्तों पर सोई

थकी हवा  

नहर के साथ चलती

मन की पगडंडी

खुद की तलाश में खोया मन  

घने काँस का-

बुढ़ापे सा लटका मन

तारों पर कतार से बैठे परिंदे

नहर के बम्बे के पास उगी-

मेरे मन की ख्वाहिशें

जिन्हे खरपतवार जान

काट ले जातीं-

गाँव की कुछ औरतें

तुम्हारे वजूद के अहसास में-

नई हसरतों की कसमसाहट

इस जद्दोजहद में लंबी होती-

तुम्हारी आँखों में बसने की रहगुज़र

ढलती शाम में गुम होता साया

उन पनीली आँखों का-

कनखियों से देखने का एहसास

मंज़िल तो पास ही थी-

उसकी जुस्तजू में शायद

सफर ही लंबा था..

कवार - हिन्दू कैलंडर का महिना | सनई- (Sunn hemp)  रेशे वाला पौधा | इससे रस्सी भी बनाते है |

काँस- लंबी पतली घास जो जंगलों व नदियों के किनारे उगती है|

नहर का बम्बा- aqueduct | रहगुज़र- रास्ता | जुस्तजू- कोशिश
