Mr. Manoj Mittal is an accomplished Civil and Structural engineering consultant having over 38 years of professional experience. He graduated in Civil Engineering from BITS Pilani in 1985. He also earned his M.Sc. and MS degrees from the same Institute. In his professional career he has managed over one thousand structures of varying magnitude and complexities. He has expertise in Structural Diagnosis, investigation, treatment and retrofitting of structures in distress. He also has a keen interest in Structural fire safety, sustainability, and project management.
He is member of several professional bodies e.g., IEI (I), IAStructE, ICI, CEAI, CDC, ACCE(I), ACI-India Chapter, IBC and IOV. He is also contributing to various BIS technical committees e.g., CEDC, CED-02, CED13-P3, CED-29, CED 29-P1, CED-54, CED 36, CED 38, CED 39, CED 46, CED 46, P1, P4, P11, P19 and SSD-06. He is Chairperson of SSD06. Presently he is also affiliated with School of Planning and Architecture (SPA), New Delhi as Visiting Professor. He served Indian Association of Structural Engineers (IAstructE) as its President during 2017-19 and 2021-23. He also served on the Board of POWERGRID Corporation of India Ltd. (a Maharatna CPSE of GOI) as Independent Director. He was awarded outstanding concrete technologist award in 2012 by Ultratech and Indian Concrete Institute.
