पर आज निकला है दिन

जेठ का अंधड़ है

और उड़ता है भयावह बवंडर

बेख्याली मे बेखबर बेसुध हूँ मैं

जरूरी नहीं

सूरज छुपने से रात हो ही

खुद का खुद तक लौटना है जरूरी 

कुदरत की नियामत है

बेसबरी से बरसता है आसमान

छुपने को सूना कोना ढूँढ़ती है

धुंधलकी शाम

पानी में नहाई कुंवारी सी लगती हैं

रेल की पटरियाँ 

अँधियारे मे खोये जाते है 

यूकेलिप्टस के लंबे पेड़

दूर लैम्पोस्ट के सहारे खड़े शख्स का

पहचाना सा है साया

तारों पे चिपकी है असहाय कटी पतंग

मन के किसी टुकड़े का हो जैसे

उनसे कोई महीन नाज़ुक सा नाता

आकाश तले बसी है

ख्वाबों की सुन्दर बस्ती

तारों की चादर ओढ़े

सोया हूँ मैं भी

नींद की दरारों से झाँकती है आशा

सूरज उगने से जरूरी नहीं है कि हो

पर आज निकला है दिन
