ज़माने का चश्मा

मत देखो ज़माने के चश्मे से

तंग हैं नज़रें चश्मे की

फ्रेम के बाहर का विस्तार हूँ मैं |

सावन की बारिश में

घुली उमस की नमी सा |

सुबह के आगाज़ में

छिपे रातों के राज़ सा |

ढली शाम सजी महफिलों में

सिसकती बेबस मासूमियत सा |

तख्ते ताज़ की बुलंदियों के साये में

ढकी अंधेरी गहराइयों सा |

खूबसूरत अल्फ़ाज़ों में लिखे खतों में

छूटे हुए हाशिये सा |

कभी दिखता हूँ-

राह के पत्थरों से लगती ठोकरों में

छिपी संभावनाओं सा |

कुलबुलाते ख्यालों को शिद्दत से

न कह पाने के अहसास सा |

और कभी

हार में छिपी हौसलों की

अनकही दस्तानों सा |

लंबी तन्हा रातों में ही

अक्सर परवान होती है आशिकी |

तंग नज़रों की दरकार नहीं

जज़्बातों से भी मुकम्मल होती है शायरी |

ये चश्मा जो देख नहीं सका

उस बहकी नजर ने सीखा दी है अवारगी |

मत देखो ज़माने के चश्मे से-

ना दिख पाऊँगा |

और फिर कहाँ-

ज़माने के लिबास ही पहने है मैने ?

उतार चश्मा देखो मेरी नज़रों से

अपनी ही नज़रों का विस्तार हूँ मैं |
