Inescapable Reflections

जरूरी नहीं  

जरूरी नहीं कि तुम याद करो

मुझे भुला भी कहाँ पाओगी |

बेशक लबों से ना बयान करो

 जज़्बातों को आँखों से ना छुपा पाओगी |

 फासला कितना ही रखा करो

 खुशबू हवाओं से कैसे बचाओगी |

हवा मे खामोश खुमारी बहुत है

 ना चाहो तो भी बहक जाओगी |

 कोशिश तुम कर लो जितनी

 रेत पर वक्त के निशाँ ना मिटा पाओगी |

 टंगे हें जो हसीन लम्हे शाखों पर

 उन्हे क्या कभी तोड़ पाओगी ?

 कल का बरसा सावन अटका है पेड़ों पे

 कर लो कोशिश पर भीग ही जाओगी |

 अक्स तुम्हारा जो देखा था अरसा पहले

 उसे मिटा भी तुम कहाँ पाओगी |

 बिल्कुल जरूरी नहीं, तुम साथ ही चलो

 यादों की गलीयों में कहीं मिल ही जाओगी |

 खुदी हो मेरे हाथ की लकीरों में

 नसीब को कहाँ बदल पाओगी |

 घुली हो वजूद में एक ख्याल की तरह

 अब कहाँ ही निकल पाओगी |

 जरूरी नहीं कि तुम याद करो

 मुझे भुला भी कहाँ पाओगी ...
