सुरमई है आसमान-

आओ,ख्बाब कोई सतरंगी बुनें |

खनखनाती हंसी की सरगम पर

गीत कोई नया लिखें |

भोर के उजास में

तारों को फिर से गिनें |

रात के सन्नाटे में

लम्हों के पदचाप सुनें |

शाम,लंबे होते साये से

बीते वक़्त का हाल सुनें |

बोगनवेलिया की कंटीली टहनियों पे

चिड़िया ने दिए हैं अण्डें-

आओ,उस पर मखमली छाँव करें |

दोपहर है-

सूरज भी झाँकता है

किवाड़ों की दरारों से |

हसरतें भी ले रहीं हैं  

करवटें बिस्तर पे |

अनमनी सी है उदासी-

तकती खिड़की के पाटों से |

मन भी उड़ बैठा है

हवेली के कंगूरों पे |

आओ, लगा जोर जरा

दरवाजे नसीबों के खोलें|

साथ मिलकर ही सही

पर लाज़िम है कि खोलें |
