कलम की स्याही सूख गई हो या

मन पर कुछ गुज़रता न हो

ऐसा तो नहीं|

मन का विश्वास डगमगाया न हो या

ज़िंदगी के जंजाल मे उलझी

तुम्हारी उमंगों ने पिघलाया न हो

ऐसा तो नहीं|

तुम्हारी नम हो आती आखों की

बेबसी को पढ़ा ना हो

ऐसा भी नहीं|

अधरों की कंपकपाहट को

महसूस ना किया हो

ऐसा भी तो नहीं|

मेरे मन के तारों को

किसी ने बेदर्दी से छेड़ा न हो

ऐसा भी तो नहीं |

अपने ही जीवन आदर्शों को

स्वाहा होते ना देखा हो

ऐसा भी नहीं|

तुमसे साथ चलने का वादा किया था

पर खुदके कदमों की लड़खड़ाहट को

महसूस ना किया हो

ऐसा भी तो नहीं|

फिर भी-

एक कविता ना लिखी जा सकी

तो सिर्फ इसलिए क्योंकि-

सब को मिलाकर

जो तस्वीर बनी

वो शून्य के सिवाय कुछ भी नहीं
